Get results in days, not monthsResults in days, not monthsMost rentals begin with a search for a machine and a place. Our equipment rental SEO builds the category pages, class pages, city pages and technical foundation that put your fleet in those results and keep it there, on flat monthly plans with no contracts and no setup fees.
What it is
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the work of earning a place in Google's regular results when people search for what you rent. For an equipment rental company that is rarely one search. It is hundreds: every machine, every size class, every brand, every city you deliver to, and every question a contractor asks before they call.
It is the foundation of equipment rental marketing because it is the one channel you own. Ads stop the day you stop paying. Marketplaces stand between you and the customer. Pages that rank, a Google Business Profile that is complete and a website that answers questions keep bringing in calls month after month, and each page you add makes the whole site stronger.
The trade-off is time. SEO builds gradually, and no one honest can promise a ranking or a date. What we can promise is the work, the plan and plain monthly reporting.
How renters search
| Type of search | Example | What the renter wants | The page that should rank |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machine | excavator rental | To see what is available | The category page for that machine |
| Size or class | 60 ft boom lift rental | The right capacity | A class page with specs and uses |
| Brand or model | Genie scissor lift rental | A specific machine | A model page with a quote button |
| Location | skid steer rental in Tulsa | A yard that serves them | A Tulsa landing page for skid steers |
| Near me | equipment rental near me | The closest open yard | Your Google Business Profile in the map results |
| Comparison | scissor lift vs boom lift | Help choosing | A comparison guide that links to both rentals |
| Cost | how much does it cost to rent a mini excavator | A rough price before calling | A guide to daily, weekly and monthly rates |
| Rent or buy | rent vs buy a skid steer | A decision | A rent-vs-buy guide |
| Job-based | what equipment do I need to grade a lot | A shopping list for the job | A job guide linking to the right machines |
Examples only. We build this map from your fleet, your yards and the searches in your market, and we start with the combinations that matter most to your revenue.

Your fleet will not match this list exactly. We build the map from the categories and classes you actually stock, and we leave out anything you do not rent.
Keyword research
Good keyword research starts with your fleet, not a tool. We list every category, class and model you rent, then expand each one with the ways people actually search for it.
We use Google Search Console, keyword tools and a look at what nearby yards and the national chains rank for. Then each keyword is given to exactly one page, so pages do not compete with each other. Close variations share a page instead of getting thin duplicates, and we re-optimize pages that already rank before building new ones.
Why many sites struggle
A lot of rental sites put the whole catalog behind a search box or an inventory widget, so Google sees a handful of pages instead of hundreds. Others have one page called "Equipment" with a long list, no page for any single machine class and nothing that says which cities or counties you deliver to.
Spec sheets pasted in from a manufacturer are another common one: the same words appear on dozens of sites, so there is little reason for Google to prefer yours. Pages without rates, sizes or a clear way to ask about availability give a contractor no reason to call, and a slow page on a phone loses the rental before it loads.
These are fixable, and they are usually where the first gains come from.
What we work on
Know the searches
We research the machine, class, brand, location and question searches in your market and assign each to one page, so pages do not compete with each other.
A catalog Google can read
Category, class and model pages with specs, typical jobs, size guidance and a clear quote request, written for your fleet, not copied from a brochure.
RankGuarantee™
A landing page for each machine in each place you serve, built in volume so you cover your whole territory. About RankGuarantee™.
Titles, headings, copy
Page titles, headings, descriptions and internal links tuned so each page matches the search it is meant to answer.
So nothing is blocked
Crawlability, speed, mobile layout, HTTPS, clean URLs and structured data, plus fixes for duplicate and thin pages.
The "near me" results
Google Business Profile work for every yard. Maps and local SEO for rental.
Authority and answers
Size guides and comparisons, plus citations and links from relevant sites. Content and links.
Site structure
A rental site ranks best when it is organized the way renters think: from the broad to the specific, with a page at every level that has its own job.
Every page has one main topic and links to its neighbors, so Google and visitors can move through the catalog easily. We avoid the traps that waste effort: near-duplicate pages, thin pages for machines you rarely rent and inventory tools that hide your catalog from search.
Equipment pages
Each machine or class page is where a contractor decides, so it has to do real work. We build them the same way every time, adapted to your equipment.
Category pages, such as the excavator or boom lift page, introduce the range in plain language and link to every class, so they can rank for the broader searches.
Territory
"Boom lift rental in Fort Worth" and "boom lift rental in Arlington" are different searches, and one page cannot match both. Ten machine types across thirty cities is three hundred searches you could match, which is too many to write one by one on a budget.
That is what RankGuarantee™ is for: a landing page for each machine in each place you serve, written around its own machine and market with real local detail rather than a find-and-replace template. It builds 25 new pages a month for $495, and it is included in every Organic Growth plan. We handle page management and rank tracking, and we start with the machines and cities that earn you the most.
Technical SEO
| Area | What we check | Why it matters for rental |
|---|---|---|
| Crawlability | Whether Google can reach every category, class and location page | Catalogs built on scripts or inventory widgets are often invisible to search. |
| Speed and mobile | Load time and layout on a phone | Urgent rental searches happen on phones at job sites. |
| Structured data | Markup for your business, locations and frequently asked questions | It helps search engines and AI tools understand what you do. |
| Duplicate and thin pages | Near-identical pages and pages with little content | They dilute your strongest pages. |
| URLs and internal links | Clean addresses and links between related pages | They pass strength to the pages you most want to rank. |
| Security and indexing | HTTPS, sitemaps and indexing settings | Basic requirements that are easy to get wrong after a redesign. |
We fix what we find, in order of impact, and tell you what we changed.
Competing with chains
The national rental chains have brand recognition and large budgets, but they rarely have a page written for your county. You win on specifics.
Content
Guides answer the questions renters type before they call, and they bring in people at the research stage. A few of the topics we write for equipment rental companies (the full list is on the content marketing page):
Each guide links to the machine and city pages it supports. More on equipment rental content marketing.
Results
SEO takes time, and the pace depends on your market, your starting point and how competitive your cities are. Some pages begin to earn visibility within a few months, while competitive searches in large metros take longer. We do not promise a ranking or a date, and we would be wary of anyone who does.
What you get each month is a plain report from Google Search Console and Analytics: which pages are being seen, which searches are bringing visitors, how the map profiles are performing and how many calls and quote requests came from search. Your account manager walks through it with you, and we use it to decide what to build next.
How it works
We crawl your site the way Google does, research your searches and look at what the chains and nearby yards rank for.
Every category, class and city gets the page it needs, starting with the machines and areas that earn the most.
RankGuarantee™ pages go live in volume, and your site gets on-page and technical fixes.
Maps profiles, reviews, content and links add trust and traffic.
Monthly reporting shows what is moving, and we add pages where the data points.
Cost
No setup fee and no contract on any plan. The monthly rate includes onboarding: keyword research, a website audit and a six-month strategy.
Questions
RankGuarantee™ landing pages are $495 a month. Organic Growth, which adds Google Maps, content, technical work and AI search, is $1,495 a month for Silver, $2,495 for Gold and $3,495 for Platinum. Gold and Platinum include a fully managed, custom-built website. There is no setup fee and no contract.
It builds gradually, and the honest answer is that no one can promise a date. Some pages begin to earn visibility within a few months, while competitive terms in big cities take longer. We report monthly so you can see the direction.
Not on day one. We start with the categories and classes that bring you the most revenue and the cities where you want more work, then expand. Thin pages for machines you rarely rent are not worth the effort.
Each location gets its own Google Business Profile and its own landing pages, so a contractor in one city sees the yard that is actually near them. Pricing depends on how many pages the plan covers.
For specific searches in specific places, often yes. A chain rarely has a page written for your county. See the section above on how we compete on local detail.
It can, if the catalog only exists inside a script or widget that Google cannot read. We check how your catalog appears to search engines and, where needed, build crawlable category and class pages around it.
Ads put you at the top of a results page for as long as you pay. SEO earns organic and map results that do not charge per click. Many equipment rental companies use both: ads for speed, SEO for steady inbound. See equipment rental paid ads.
Yes. We build around what you actually rent, whether that is excavators and skid steers, boom lifts and scissor lifts, telehandlers and forklifts, generators and light towers, compaction and concrete equipment, or cranes and trailers. A specialty fleet is often an advantage in search.
Rental and sales searches are different, so they need different pages. We keep rental pages focused on renting and build separate pages for used equipment sales, so one does not confuse the other.
Usually the basics that hold everything else back: pages Google cannot read, missing category and class pages, an incomplete Google Business Profile and inconsistent listings. We start with whichever has the most impact for your yards.
No. Everything is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime.
